My background currently as a Graphic Designer/Finished Artist/DTP Group Head based in Cape Town, South Africa at a large Ad Agency feels like a lifetime since my Art School days and a diploma in textile design and fashion, but this has strongly influenced the intrinsic style and nature of the stationery line I have designed. I believe in the importance of finding inspiration everyday, indulging in it and stimulating the creative senses.

I struggled to find beautiful and stylish stationery that I liked, so I designed my own. I love, love, love the personalised feel of a real card it just seems so much better than writing on somebody's Facebook wall, doesn't it. It all started by keeping myself a little bit sane, in my spare time. I would design stationery and take on freelance work, so for about a year, everyone I knew got a beautifully wrapped pack of PercyJaneDesign cards for every occasion they celebrated! PercyJaneDesign started up in 2010 and has snowballed somewhat haphazardly into the site you see here today!

This whole process started as a dream, to create something I was totally passionate about. I'm addicted to the endorphins I collect teaching a Katabox (think kickboxing) class in the gym, and the challenge of running the occasional half marathon, love thunderstorms (the louder the better), love proteas (you'll notice them a lot in the collections), am a sucker for a great cup of coffee, love putting tiny little silver and gold stars in birthday cards!

Oh, and I have an unhealthy obsession with New York City, Christian Louboutin shoes, and chocolate cupcakes. So I am basically just a normal chick.
