Greatheart is a women empowerment skills development project, bringing together a group of ladies in the townships to make hand-beaded and embroidered products. Through training and development, made possible through the sales of their handmade products, the women who were previously reliant on an irregular government grant and were unemployed are able to put food on the table and restore dignity to their lives. Greatheart have worked hand in hand with The African Children’s Feeding Scheme for the last nine years and we now aim to empower the ultimate caretakers of the children at the shelter in Alexandra Township. We continue to seek ways to enhance a better life for all in this community.
